Tom Marren, Managing Director, CESenergy

Tom Marren is Managing Director of CESenergy and owner of Marren Engineering. He has considerable experience in building cogeneration and HVAC engineering, installation and business management. Tom is also a director of Cogent Energy Australia. He has a degree in Building Services Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from University College Dublin.

Brendan Marren, General Manager, CESenergy

Brendan Marren recently returned to Ireland after 14 year in Melbourne, Australia. While in Australia he was involved in businesses specialising in bringing prepaid telephony products to market, which is now valued at almost $2 billion.

Brendan was a founding shareholder in some of these businesses and has held positions as both State and National Sales Manager most recently he was sales manager for publicly listed company Bill Express responsible for annual sales of $700m. Prior to leaving Australia he helped set up Cogent Energy and is now the General Manager of CESenergy.

Darren Kane, Project Manager

As Project Manager, Darren drives the day-to-day management of each project along with holding full responsibility for all on-site personnel. A graduate of the DIT Bolton Street, Darren holds qualification in Building Services Engineering. He has 15 years experience in design and engineering ensures that our clients receive a service that meets their needs and the CES Energy Engineering’s standard of excellence. Darren has overseen the installation of CHP/Tri-generation solution with key clients such as A & L Goodbody, AIB, Citi. Darren also holds further qualifications as an Architectural Technician and in City & Guilds CAD

Aoife Connolly, BE MEngSc EMIT MIEI

As a Project Engineer, Aoife is involved in the design and management of turnkey energy solutions such as CHP, Tri-Generation and District Heating systems. A graduate of University College Dublin, she holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, a ‘Master of Engineering Science’ and was recently awarded an ‘Energy Manager in Training’ certificate from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Aoife has several years of professional experience within CES Energy in Ireland and Europe.

Neill O'Connor, B.E. MIEI

As Sales Engineer, Neill is involved in a project throughout its life cycle, from initial dealing with potential customers, right through to tenders, design, project management and commissioning. A member of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland, Neill graduated at the top of his year as a UCD Mechanical Engineer. His knowledge and skills ensure that CES Energy’s standards of excellence are maintained.

Peter Meldon - Finance

Peter has worked with the group since it was set up in 1998 and has played an integral role in bringing the company to its’ current success. Peter’s experience and attention to detail ensures that the high standards of engineering that are achieved are similarly achieved within our finance department.

Mary Dowling

Mary has worked with Marren Engineering for the past 2 ½ years in an administration and Customer Service capacity. Mary brings with her over 16 years experience in the Construction industry having previously held the position of Office Manager/Credit Controller with Chadwick’s Limited.
